Walls

Wall insulation is generally applied in three distinct ways. Insulation can be installed in a cavity wall, on the exterior of the building, or in an interior wall. While cavity wall insulation is usually considered the most efficient of the three, it’s not always a practical or possible solution. We stock high-quality insulation from top manufacturers, where both external and internal applications have their benefits and will work to retain heat and increase efficiency, as well as some having acoustic and fire protection properties.

At SIG Distribution we offer an unrivalled range of products to the construction industry, including a number of products for Wall Insulation.

Cavity Wall Insulation

External walls of residential buildings can be made of two layers with a gap or cavity between them.  Cavity wall insulation fills that gap, keeping warmth in and saving energy.

Solid Wall Insulation

For structures with solid walls, solid wall insulation is an excellent way to insulate and reduce heat loss.  In addition they reduce drafts, don’t infringe on floor space and increase the expected lifetime of a wall.

Internal Stud Wall Insulation

Stud walls are internal walls constructed from a frame of vertical timber beams.  Insulating materials such as Stud Wall Insulation can be installed between or over the timber before the wall is finished.  These can be in the form of roll insulation, slab insulation or rigid insulation board.
